Why DALI‑2 Matters for Your Project
The WELLDRIVER WVL‑A series follows the IEC 62386‑101/102/207/209 (DALI‑2) standard. Compared to older DALI version‑1, DALI‑2 brings several key improvements.
- Backward compatibility – works with any DALI‑2 certified control device (sensors, push‑buttons, touch panels).
- Enhanced diagnostic feedback – the driver reports lamp failure, thermal derating, and actual load status via the DALI bus.
- Extended color commands (DT8) – precise Tc (correlated color temperature) and xy‑chromaticity control for RGBCW strips.
- Multi‑master capability – multiple sensors or switches on the same bus work without conflicts.
DT6 – Single Channel Dimming
This option works well for tunable white or simple on/off/dim applications. Use it with standard DALI controllers. You can set brightness from 0.1 % to 100 %.
